The Stunner from Unchained Labs is a multifunctional instrument for protein characterisation. From the same sample it can simultaneously measure:

Fast and Efficient

Stunner only requires a tiny 2µL sample and requires no dilution or sample preparation. For single samples you will have protein concentration and sizing done in a minute.

If you need to analyse more samples, you can load up a 96 well plate and load it into the instrument. In this case you can have concentration measurements completed in 12 minutes or both concentration and sizing done in an hour.

Unchained Labs Stunner protein characterisation workflow Stunner caters for sample concentrations from 0.02mg/mL through to 200mg/mL offering a wide dynamic range such that there is no need for dilution. You can even deal with mAbs up to 250mg/mL by fitting the shape of the spectra and extrapolating to accurate concentrations.

The system provides a comprehensive range of properties to give you a better picture about how your protein behaves. On top of hydrodynamic sizing by DLS (Dynamic Light Scattering), you can also determine the effects of such things as:

Changes to process formulation

Using Stunner you can easily determine if your protein sample is prone to aggregation. By measuring the concentration of each sample in a series using real-time DLS, you get the most accurate results possible.

Aggregation Index

Using Stunners Homebrew tool, you can check on what is the stability of your protein formulation. You can use standard methods (based on wavelengths or use background subtraction) or generate your own custom equation.
