Rigaku’s New Constant Potential Radiographic NDT Instrument Available Through AXT
Sydney, Australia, November 22, 2013 – AXT Pty Ltd are a key supplier of non-destructive testing (NDT) equipment for the Australian, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea region. They have recently bulked up the product offering with the launch of the new constant potential (CP) radiographic unit from Rigaku.
The new Radioflex RF-2522CP is a landmark product for Rigaku, being the first product of its type that they have produced. It adds to their existing range of portable x-ray inspection devices and enters the market with an unmatched price/performance ratio, backed up by their quality, reliability and after sales service.
The RF-2522CP includes a raft of features to help NDT professionals increase their workload by working more efficiently. More specifically, the new system is amongst the smallest and lightest constant potential units on the market making it more portable and easier to transport and set up. The x-ray generator tips the scales at a mere 20.4kg and the controller a lithe 10.kg, making the unit easy to handle and manoeuvre in the field. The designers have been able to achieve these light weight components using Rigaku’s unique high voltage technology.
Unlike many of its competitors, it can also operate continuously for 30 minutes at 100% duty cycle enabling data to be collected faster. The RF-2522CP achieves all this at a paltry 1.5kVA, making it one of the most energy efficient systems on the market. Suitable for most applications, the RF-2522CP can see through 50mm of steel.
AXT’s NDT specialist Donna Day said, “I am very excited to be able to offer the new Rigaku RF-2522CP to our market as it is a new technology extending their product range and we will be able to provide it at a price point that will make it extremely competitive, while still being backed up by their performance and quality”.
Rigaku’s range of NDT products make up part of AXT’s NDT range which they distribute in Australia and New Zealand and more information is available at www.axt.net.au.
