AXT to Distribute TTP Labtech Life Science Products in Australia and New Zealand
AXT, Australias leading supplier of analytical and sample preparation equipment is pleased to announce that they have recently become the exclusive Australian and New Zealand agents for TTP Labtechs life science product range.
TTP Labtech, based in the UK have developed a strong reputation as an innovative developer and manufacturer of products for pharmaceutical and biotech research at both the industrial and academic levels.
TTPs portfolio of products include liquid handling systems suitable for volumes as small as 25nL, automated modular sample management systems that can store up to 200,000 samples at temperatures as low as -80°C featuring automated sample retrieval facilities and cell imaging systems with high volume screening capabilities.
We are extremely excited about the addition of TTPs products to our life science line up, said Richard Trett, Managing Director of AXT. Their products are world leading and I see great potential for Australian and New Zealand researchers to increase their productivity through their integration. Factors such as smaller sample volumes, faster analysis rates and automated sample handling and distribution will all contribute to speeding up the conversion from research to commercialisation, helping Australia cement its position as a world leader in biotechnology and medical technology.
Andrew Goulter from TTP said that, we look forward to working with AXT as we see distinct synergies between our businesses. We have also identified the strength of Australian biotechnology research and hope that our equipment will contribute to their successes in the near future, in particular in the areas of protein crystallography, cell assays, cytotoxicity and biobanking.
AXT will also offer service and support for TTP equipment including existing instruments. They will also look after sales of consumables.
AXT will be promoting the TTP Labtech product range at the upcoming ComBio 2013 conference that will be held in Perth, Australia later this month.
